Marian Volkman: Professional Life

As a Trainer

I do TIR and Metapsychology training workshops, both in my home town of Ann Arbor, and in other locations whensomeone arranges a training and brings me there. I’ve taught in many states in the US, several cities in Canada, in England, Italy and Russia. Sharing this material with other practitioners is an on-going delight for me. We are all in helping professions because of the desire to help. Having powerful, effective tools helps us to get the job done more efficiently for our clients and gives both them and us great rewards and satisfaction. Contact me by email to marian@TIR.org or call +1 734 662 6864. To learn more about the subject of TIR, see the TIR website: www.tir.org

I offer all three of the TIR/Life Stress Reduction level workshops, All of the Metapsychology facilitator training and several other supplementary short workshops. If you are a person in any of the helping professions and have the opportunity to use TIR and related techniques in your work, I absolutely promise you better, faster, more complete results with most clients if you pursue this training.

As a Practitioner

In addition to training, I see clients, using TIR and Metapsychology techniques a majority of the time, but also some other methods I have learned along the way. I am committed to using the best of everything I know to best serve the person I am working with in the moment. Having had over 30 years of experience in trauma resolution and personal growth work, has been a wonderful opportunity for learning and growth for me as well as for my clients. I feel extremely fortunate to have work that I love to do and that is so tremendously rewarding.

Some of my clients live near me and come on a regular basis for sessions. Others travel here to work with me (or sometimes I go to them, especially if there is a group of individuals who want to work with me). In the latter case, people usually do two or three sessions a day for several days, until we reach a good stopping place for then, or until all of their objectives have been met. I’ve worked with people from 18 states outside of my own, from many locations in Canada, from England, Italy and Russia.

About Life Skills

“While reading Life Skills, I frequently paused and concentrated on the exercises, many of which I had not encountered in other self-help books. Volkman’s exercises reflect wisdom and a lifetime of learning and teaching others how to learn about themselves. “Life Skills” is a useful and practical book the reader will return to many times and will want to share with friends. If everyone read this book and practiced its exercises, people would relate better to one another and humanity would achieve the greater potential Volkman believes possible. “Life Skills” is highly recommended to anyone who wants to live a happier, more rewarding life. “
